By accessing or using TippyTip, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

TippyTip provides a platform that enables performers and creators to receive tips from their audience through digital payment processing. We facilitate the connection between creators and their supporters but do not control the content or interactions between users.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of TippyTip, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Fees and Payments

TippyTip charges a 5% platform fee on all tips received. Additional credit card processing fees apply as charged by our payment processor. Fees are subject to change with notice to users.

Payments are processed through Stripe. By using our service, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TippyTip to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Distribute harmful or malicious content
  • Engage in fraudulent activities
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the service

6. Supporter Information & Communications

When someone tips or leaves a comment on your TippyTip page, you may receive their name, email address, phone number, and message.

This information is provided so you can:

  • thank supporters, and
  • share updates about your music, art, shows, releases, and related projects.

You agree that you will:

  • only use supporter information for communications related to your work,
  • communicate respectfully and reasonably, and
  • stop contacting a supporter if they ask you to.

You must not:

  • use supporter information for unrelated commercial purposes,
  • sell, share, or give supporter details to anyone else, or
  • send excessive, misleading, or spam messages.

You agree to comply with all applicable privacy and electronic communications laws.

TippyTip may suspend or terminate your account if supporter information is misused.

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you upload to TippyTip. By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to provide our services.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TippyTip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TippyTip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
